Shaffer is an award-winning filmmaker from Cincinnati, OH, now living in Los Angeles. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in Film and studied at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague in an international intensive program. Prior to that, Shaffer ran a production company in Austin, TX during the pandemic, directing commercial videos and producing independent films.

Shaffer’s B.F.A. thesis film and most recent cinematic effort, OrganicMeet (2024), explores the challenges of finding love and meaning in a generation marred by dating apps and social media. It took home Best College Short at the Phoenix Film Festival in April and Best Student Film at the Big Apple Film Festival in May. Additionally, it screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival and Los Angeles Lift-Off Festival this summer. Shaffer looks forward to showcasing the film to more audiences as the year progresses.
